SNOWMASS VILLAGE, CO – Richard C. Goodwin, Chair, Middle East Peace Dialogue Network, Inc. met with Yossi Beilin, a member of the Israel Knesset (Parliament); Representatives of the H. L. Education (Geneva Initiative, Israel); and the Economic Cooperation Foundation on April 8, 2008 in Tel Aviv, Israel. The meeting was to assess the progress of the Regional Peace plan (RPP) that is being funded by Richard C. Goodwin and the Middle East Peace Dialogue Network, Inc. For many reasons, this appears to be the time that a successful peace agreement can be signed by Israel and its current 22 enemies -- countries that have been in a state of war since 1948. All parties – Israel, The Palestinian Authority and most Arab League members have signed on to the “Two State Solution” as put forth by the “Quartet” – The UN, Russia, European Union and America. While the progress is difficult at times, the Palestinian and Israeli teams are resolving many issues that were previously thought of as “intractable.” The good will and trust being developed will be very helpful when the two governments get to serious negotiations with a target date for peace agreements. The Arab League will be sent progress reports as well as all parties of concern who desire peace – even Iran. The RPP completion date is July 31, 2008. A special event will be held, with all parties receiving the RPP. While there will not be acceptance of all the terms by all parties, no issues will be overlooked. The “teams” will be prepared to respond to suggested changes and issue frequent reports to all parties of any revisions. Peace in 2008 is obtainable. Contact: Richard C.
